MISSION
Kaleidoscope MusArt, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting classical music as a relevant and evolving art form, through innovative concert programs and educational initiatives that explore links between new, rarely-heard, and well-known works while prominently featuring emerging artists and living composers. Through accessible and affordable concerts, we aim to foster an appreciation of the depth and versatility of classical music in people of all ages.
Kaleidoscope MusArt [KMA] was co-founded in November 2015 by Maria Sumareva, Akina Yura, Redi Llupa, Inesa Gegprifti and Rodrigo Bussad with the aim to promote new and rarely heard repertoire, as well as emerging artists and composers. Since then, KMA has been producing thematic piano and chamber music concerts that feature well-known masterpieces from the past along with works by living and/or under-performed composers of great merit.
KMA is committed to supporting young artists under the age of 18, creating and facilitating their access to performance and educational opportunities through projects such as the Young Talents Showcase.
KMA annually hosts an international call for scores. Past winners include: Mei-Fang Lin, Nahyun Kim, Taylor Brooke, Jean-Pascal Chaigne, Alice Hunter, Marco Longo, Tianyi Wang, Frej Wedlund, and Fabian Zeidler.
Since its founding, Kaleidoscope MusArt has presented works by more than 40 living composers, 15 world premieres, 8 american premieres, and numerous Miami and Florida premieres.
